I am a preschool teacher at MapleBear Explorers. I love guiding and nurturing children from young as I believe that the early years of the child is the most important phase in their development. I believed that with my experience in teaching, I will be able to nurture these children and let them grow into confident and competent learners. As a creative individual, I aim to use my creativity in planning the school’s curriculum with hands on activities for children. I love music and art as it allows individuals to express their thoughts even more through their work. Through my attachments, internship and part time job at Mindchamps Headquarter as a trainer, I discovered that I have a passion to teach children and how I can use the skills I learnt in this industry such as creating meaningful lessons for the children. With the goal to positively impact children, my experiences have allowed me to reflect on my teaching skills and character as a person.My personal belief:“It takes a village to raise a child” - Hillary Clinton.I always believe in order to raise a child in a good environment, it cannot be a one man show but a team effort which means teachers having strong partnership with families in order for the child to benefit. Children development is being impacted by both the teachers and parents. Children would trust the teacher if they are able to see their parents trust in the teachers. Furthermore, parents need to be affectionate to their children as they need the love and warmth in order to build positive rapport with their parents. In the module "Developing school family community partnership, we learn about effective communication with parents and about how we can have school event that involve the parents. These factors about family school partnership will allow the child to see if the parents trust the school and teachers which will affect the children trust and relationship with the teachers in school.
