Let me start with I love what I do! With ~20 years of experience, I have an extensive history in both traditional Waterfall and Agile/SAFe software development (SDLC). I have collaborated among IT groups, internal/external business users and executives, and ultimately worked with end customers throughout the entire program and project lifecycle. These various roles have given me continuous opportunities to improve, learn and grow as an portfolio leader. Communication, cooperation and collaboration between business users and the program teams are essential for portfolio success. My programs involved meeting with business sponsors, clients, executives and gathering project teams together to ensure program and portfolio goals were achieved. I also coordinated highly skilled people, such as analysts, architects, UX/designers, developers, testers and deployment specialist. Soft skills can make or break a project. I have experience engaging multiple levels of executive management for reporting purposes to ensure transparency and continued program support. Colleagues know me as very detail oriented, organized and keep the program goals in sight, while trying to maintain team cohesiveness, dedication and levity throughout the project. This includes executive level sponsors through to testing and deployment team members. I lean toward active listening, humor and collaboration with the team, and can maneuver through technical details and politics to ensure the program stays on target and is completed as requested.
