Cherise Y. Spearheaded comprehensive operations of the Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid teams, consisting of 30 staff members. Effectively managed a $12M budget, including an additional $11M of internal and external scholarship monies. • Developed and delivered five-year Strategic Enrollment Plan to the President and Board within the first six months, earning immediate unanimous approval.• Conceptualized and executed recruiting strategies to immediately halt a five-year enrollment decline.

Directed routine functions of enrollment management, student housing, and residential life, supervising a staff of more than 40 employees, and overseeing a $5M budget. Redefined housing operations to facilitate student programming. Promoted RA program implementation, in addition to facility maintenance and upgrades. Collaborated with Dean of Chapel to integrate co-curricular programming that aligned with the institutions goals and values of student leadership and development. Notable achievements include:• Designed and integrated strategic plan of best practices, ranging from sales and marketing to CRM utilization, posting an historic freshmen class enrollment, up 23% from the previous best.• Successfully increased enrollment in each successive term by 5-8%, through broad national and international marketing campaigns, as well as capitalizing on retention strategies.

Oversaw undergraduate and graduate recruitment and admissions functions, facilitating new student orientation, academic advising, and support services with a key focus on retention of first-year students. Coached, evaluated, and supervised staff of more than 40 associates with an operating budget of $6M. Advised student leadership groups and organization, while engaging with multiple college, community, and university committees. • Successfully transitioned enrollment system (admissions, registration, and financial aid) from an 88% paper process to a 96% online process through effective integration of PeopleSoft (ERP).• Championed recruiting and retention strategies, resulting in an improvement of FTF academic profile and retention across all student classifications.• Achieved the highest enrollment increase of 7% across all public higher education institutions in the state of Alabama, in addition to increasing international enrollment by 124% and first-time freshmen enrollment by an unprecedented 18%.

As Associate Vice President had overall responsibility for the Office of Student Advisement and Academic Support, the Office of Student Financial Aid, the Office of the Registrar, the Enrollment Services Center (OneStopShop), the Office of Student Accounts, Records Management and Imaging, Banner (SIS) System Office and while associate, the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. Led a staff of 125+ and departmental budgets in excess of $7 million with $270 million in Title IV responsibility. Responsible for committee leadership of the university’s five graduate admission colleges’ development of centralized policies and enrollment support services including the selection and implementation of a common online graduate CRM and admissions application. Additionally, responsible for project sponsorship of enrollment service related technology projects and committees (i.e. Campus Portal, SSN Conversion, I1440, etc.) Chair and serve on several academic and administrative committees as well as on several committees and boards on the state and national level. University Registrar As University Registrar had overall responsibility for ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the university’s academic policies and student records. Responsible for the leadership and development of ten units including: student records, class scheduling, registration, grades, transcript and enrollment verifications, eligibility certification for veterans and athletics, graduation and academic honors, commencement, records management and central imaging, and internal and external reporting. Additionally, have division responsibility for direction and leadership of Banner Student Information System for the university’s Enrollment Management units (recruiting, graduate and undergraduate admissions, financial aid, student advisement, undergraduate studies).
