Co-CuratorInsiders / Outsiders Art Festival Jun 2018 - Aug 2019London, United KingdomCo-curator of Brave New Visions, hosted by Sotheby's London. Brave New Visions took as its subject a group of émigré art dealers who fled Nazi-dominated Europe, before going on to open some of the most cutting-edge galleries in wartime and Post-war London. The exhibition looked at Carl Braunschweig's Exhibition of German-Jewish Artists' Work in 1934 at the Parson's Galleries; Jack Bilbo's The Modern Art Gallery; Paul Wengraf's Arcade Gallery; Lea Bondi-Jaray and Dr. Otto Brill's St. George's Gallery; Henry Roland, Lillian Browse and Gustav Delbanco's Roland, Browse & Delbanco; Erica Brausen's Hanover Gallery; Annely Juda's Molton, Hamilton and Annely Juda Fine Art; Peter and Charles Gimpels Gimpel Fils; Andras Kalman's Crane Kalman Gallery; Frank Lloyd and Harry Fischer's Marlborough Gallery, and Klaus and Gerty Anschel's Anschel Gallery. I helped to secure loans of artworks by artists including William Scott; Eduardo Paolozzi; Reg Butler; Francis Bacon; Henry Moore; Barbara Hepworth and many others. The exhibition included 47 individual works of art. I also wrote the exhibition catalogue, in some cases researching and creating the first biographies of the gallery proprietors. The catalogue was read more than 2,000 times from being uploaded on issuu: https://issuu.com/bravenewvisions/docs/brave_new_visions
