I am responsible for the supporting speaker acquisition and all speaker communication for the Design Indaba Conference and for the end-to-end logistics process for all speakers and international media.I am currently producing AuDITIONS, a gold jewellery design competition run by AngloGold Ashanti. This competition is focused on creativity and innovation in gold design, and skills development and transfer; providing a platform to empower young, emerging and professional jewellery. Together with a team of three, I produced gold design seminars held in three citites, Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town, and attended by 540 participants, in July 2013; to inspire and practically challenge entrants to test their knowledge and skills. Participants had the opportunity to meet internationally acclaimed designer, Lara Bohinc, who provided insight into developing a signature style, sharing lessons on the value of persistence and growing one’s commercial savvy.While finessing my technical project management skills, I have been exposed to creative excellence and forward-thinking ideas. My career journey is far from over but I am now certain that I feel most alive when I am part of turning a creative idea into reality.
