Rn Supervisor
CurrentFull-time Registered Nurse Supervisor responsible for patient and resident care, implementing nursing procedures to treat those on my unit. Leading a team of LPN’s and CNA’s to ensure that the facility’s best practice care standards and individual resident care plans are followed is key. Managing staffing and scheduling is also a priority to ensure appropriate resident/caregiver ratios. With a focus on assessment for acute illness or injury, the goal is always to provide the safest environment possible and coordinate care with my team as well as the primary or on-call provider. My experience includes work in sub-acute rehabilitation, skilled nursing interventions for residents of the facility, and providing comfort and palliative care for those at end of life. Additional therapies include post hospital medical and surgical needs, wound care, diabetic monitoring and education, IV therapies, recovery from illness or accident, and post orthopedic/surgical procedures. A special emphasis is placed on the needs of Covid-resolved patients including respiratory assessments, oxygen therapy, and additional ancillary treatments as needed. Support and assistance to those with Alzheimer's and other various dementias or cognitive decline is also relevant to my role.
