I am a professional senior executive with a 25 year career in Health & Social Care. Having spent 18 years in the children and young people sector (latterly as a partner of a foster care agency) and a further 7yrs+ overseeing services that straddle all age categories. I'm passionate about best outcomes for people seeking a service that will improve their daily lives, whether through great education, care, community outreach support, health (generic), mental health or companionship. I consider myself to be a supportive, inspiring and caring leader able to motivate and encourage teams to work to their full potential; self driven to improve organisational outputs and raise standards in predominantly the care sector. With an accomplished suite of exec level operational skills including complex project management, I can transfer these to a range of service based organisations. Fully involved with my teams I like to to examine current systems, policies, practices and seek efficiencies for improved delivery. Having led three organisations as part of the Exec Team, I have played a part in their transformational growth and improved reputational value. Working in collaboration internally with teams and externally with stakeholders has always yielded positive results. As a leader for change, I can support an organisation to examine the strengths of its current culture and eliminate negativity. Learning, innovation, inclusivity and celebrating differences are organisational cultural features that motivates me daily in my work. I am passionate about quality, process, operations, service delivery and people. For the last 15 years I have volunteered in a range of capacities linked to health and social care - youth worker | young people's mentor for a school initiative to support those in mainstream education | Healthwatch NED improving standards across the county and champion consumers opinion of a range of providers, specifically chairing the senior health and social care volunteers to undertake soft assessments and engage as 'observers' to guide and support delivery partners. Currently I am a Scout's Association Chair and Trustee to ensure the Exec Committee meet in a timely way, with good governance, risk assessed, financial stability and providing an enriching experience to circa 90 children on a weekly basis.
