The Cherry Tree story began in 1997 at co-owner, Sarah’s, family home Cherry Tree Cottage. Her family began making delicious home-made preserves in the kitchen using recipes handed down from several generations. Their humble, yet much loved ranges of jams, marmalades, pickles and chutneys were shared at local farmers markets and fairs to first establish The Cherry Tree brand.By 1999, as demand for their products grew, Sarah’s family sought expert advice from multi-award-winning producers Gavin & Mark of Forest Products, who were specialists in making own label preserves and chutneys for some of the most prestigious independent retailers in the UK. Together they brought their combined experience of over 70 years in making quality preserves to allow The Cherry Tree brand to blossom into what we all know and love today.Using only the finest ingredients, and only ever hand made in small batches, each product is personally tasted by us to ensure every single batch tastes fantastic. We believe it is the time and love we put into the innovation and making of our products that sets us apart.
