Develop Test Operating System (TOS) and diagnostic software (EUD) to validate F5's hardware platforms as well as firmware. --Design software to validate hardware, including components, interconnects, and performance. --Write software to communicate to firmware (LOP, Buc, Hubble LCD, BIOS, CPLD) and design scenarios to validate their functionalities.--Get the desired version of CentOS kernel, apply the modules for hardware pieces, integrate firmware, write tests, and wrap them together, build bootable images to boot on hardware. The booted system is used for all activities related to early hardware bring up and hardware build.--Design and implement RESTful APIs, which provides a way to retrieve and update hardware resources via HTTP besides the existing command line features.--Write diagnostic software (EUD) for customers to diagnose hardware problems. Worked on 8960 Wireless Communications Test Set, which was the best one-box tester for cell phone testing. It is used as a signal generator, base station emulator, and signal analyzer. It covers all the tests needed for cell phones, including transmitter, receiver, signal quality, signaling, protocol. Main customers are Qualcom, Apple, Samsung, HTC, Nokia. My job is to validate the functionalities of the one box tester.--Progressed from team member to team lead, led four test engineers for the 3G WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA project to ensure quality.--Participated in the 4G LTE project, for early investigation. --Created test strategy, test plan according to test coverage goal, quality criteria and resource.--Designed tests cases based on 3GPP spec, product definition and customer scenarios.--Automated tests from manual tests, improved test efficiency and repeatability.--Top bug finder in the department.
