During her time as CEO, based in New Zealand, Cherry grew SIMTICS revenue 10-fold. She significantly expanded the customer base, particularly in the US, with some education institutions now using the product since 2013. Her team developed new products for Dental Assisting, Lab Tests, Basic Life Support, and Medical Ultrasound, expanding the company's addressable market. SIMTICS is now part of SimTutor Inc., where Cherry is COO.

Responsible for all aspects of SIMTICS operations. Successfully grew the business from 7 to over 70 people at the height of a major project. Built a high-performing, inclusive organization culture that delivered high-quality products on-time, and that even past team members continue to talk about and compare to their current jobs. Implemented systems and processes for internal communication, project management, customer account management, and content development, taking SIMTICS from a small collegial group of medical specialists to a professional commercial organization. Acted as key account manager for our major US customer. Also undertook business development and sales, supported our overseas resellers, and represented SIMTICS at a series of conference expos in the US.

Provided business coaching and education for the SME sector, helping business owners to increase profit, become better leaders and build strong teams. Worked with a wide range of business types including construction and trades, legal, travel, hospitality, IT and web services, removals, cleaning services, and more. In the 2005 independently judged Action Business Awards, my clients won 2 out of 9 of these national awards, and one of those clients won another award in 2006.
