Yangtze Memory Technologies Co., Ltd.(YMTC) was officially established on the basis of Wuhan Xinxin Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation on July 26, 2016.YMTC continues to expand XMC’s current IOT business and focus on memory IC mass production built on XMC’s existing advanced R&D and manufacturing competence for 12 inch IC wafer technology.The construction of the Memory IC Base has started, in which YMTC is the main body. This project’s investment reaches 24 billion US dollars with a core plant area of approximately 1.1 km² and aims to reach a monthly capacity of 300 thousand wafers after completion.YMTC will adopt the parallel approaches of independent R&D and international cooperation to make breakthroughs in core technologies to become a world-class supplier for IOT and 3D flash memory.
