People-based and oriented person whose jobs, though apparently different all have the interaction with people in common. Favourite profession was teaching. Have a passion for learning something new every day - no matter how small. Have written several articles and one book and am now (September, 2013) writing an article on the interface between ethics and the Law. My staff call my little "lessons" my "sermons from the Mount".Love to read, travel (not on tours) so that I absorb different cultures.Would love to keep working, consulting, teaching etc as long as I am healthy as a day spent idle is a large bit of time wasted. But I DO have downtime and love to have fun. Especially in the gym where I go five days per week. Also dance and sing.My present wish is to do short-term consultancies (some while here in Jamaica and some in places which might need people with my expertise). Will willingly, if available attend relevant conferences and make presentations.

Member Of The International Bioethics Committee,(Ibc)Unesco, Paris May 2010 - PresentA group of 36 independent ethics experts who reflect on bio-ethical issues, ending in reports on such matters as CONSENT, VULNERABILITY etcJust got renewed for four more years.(2013-2017)Returned on March 12th, 2015 from going with UNESCO's IBC to Oman at the invitation of their Government and their Ethics Committee. Attended the first International Conference on Islamic Ethics, i.e. how ethics is viewed by Islam. Very interesting and informative.At the recently concluded meetings in Paris - September 28 - October 3, 2015 - was unanimously ":voted" onto the Bureau of the IBC. The first Anglo-phone Caribbean person to be on that Bureau.Am now a Vice Chair.One of our Reports (on the Human Genome) has since been received with great enthusiasm, and that is the reaction to just the Press Release which was sent out.As a member of the Bureau I will be going to Kuwait in April (2016) to work on a Report on Refugees.Just returned (September, 2016) from a joint meeting of COMEST and the IBC in Paris where we worked on Big Data; Water Ethics etc.
