At my eleven-month internship with Fremont Youth and Family Services I had the opportunity toengage with individuals from various cultures, religions, and socio-economic status. Workingunder the supervision of an LMFT, I had the opportunity to gain experience in assessment,diagnosis, and treatment planning that contributed to my client’s overall well-being. Beingplaced in a school and clinic setting allowed me to collaborate with both administrative schoolstaff and clinicians to support my client’s progress and mental health. My internship providedcare for Medi-Cal clients, which allowed me to further my knowledge in required documentationset by city, county, and state regulations.Working as an RBT for the past five years furthered my knowledge of autism spectrum disorder.I found fulfillment in implementing learning techniques and coping strategies that both clientsand families could apply within and outside of sessions. In addition, prior to working as an RBT,I assisted those with intellectual and developmental disabilities as a disability support aide
