Calculation of over-indebtedness assessment to determine if a client is over-indebted according to the National Credit Act. Structuring a practical, reasonable, and sustainable budget. Calculation of a final Debt re-arrangement Proposal for submission to creditors, and thereafter the Magistrate's court. Obtaining and issuing of a Court Order. Monitoring of all payments made to creditors by Payment Distribution Agencies. Challenged any discrepancies. Provided aftercare service to clients, until all debts are fully paid up. Key function, to oversee the efficient operation of the KZN regional office of the Alzheimer's Association, to provide an effective counselling and information service.Special achievements: Compiled a report offering practical suggestions to the SA Law Commission, in response to their request for comments on an issue paper titled, "Investigation into incapable adults". Suggestions were accepted.Planned & organised medical seminars. These seminars resulted in the association receiving recognition as an organised, high profile, professional organisation.Motivated for free medication from a large pharmaceutical company for an early Alzheimer sufferer. Due to granting of compassionate sponsorship of medication, a Baptist minister was able to continue facilitating a bible study group, in spite of his mental challenges.The work accomplished at the Association, together with my counselling role, became the deciding and contributing factor in Operation Jumpstart agreeing to provide the association with a house from which to operate.
