Current*Provides leadership for managing the finances of multi $1,000,000+ Health Improvement initiatives. Served as the key executive in providing high level performance financial statements for monthly and yearly closing of the books for the CEO of LPHI/NNPHI and the Board of Directors. Managed funds for 46+programs services and grants totaling over $21MM, including the oversite of an $11MM+ grant from the US Department of Health and Human Services. Distributed funding to leading organizations, which established new pipelines and growth to LPHI overall mission and vision of stability. Organizations included LSU Health Sciences Development Corporation Center, City of New Orleans, Tulane Clinic, and Odyssey House, Inc. Drove essential programs and funding strategies that increased overall costs by 50%, while building LPHI’s financial growth, development, and sustainability. Developed, prepared, and presented comprehensive Excel reports of forecasting and variance analysis, identifying areas of continuous cost improvement and efficiency for 75+ budgets (Federal, State, and Private) to managers and directors. Lead and implemented a Critical Thinking process to analysis and implement tools and techniques to enhance data collection and forecasting (which either continued or rejected funding). Created a department-wide Payroll and Cost allocations model to manage reports and variance analysis, which provided essential insight on areas of finance performance. Established, implemented and monitored controls of financial stability through policy and procedures in accordance with the recommendations of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Grant Guidelines, and OMB Circulars.
