I am a self-motivated individual who takes pride in providing quality work and nursing care. I have twenty six years of experience in the healthcare field; including twenty two years as a registered nurse, one year as a licensed practical nurse and three years as a certified nurse’s aide.My most recent position has been as an RN Care Facilitator at University of Michigan Health Sparrow. I also have prior experience as a staff development coordinator at Regency at Lansing West. Prior to that my experience included a role as Regional Director at Elara Caring Hospice. A portion of my responsibilities have included managing the coordination, supervision, and implementation of professional supportive services to clients. Additional responsibilities include assisting with developing staffing models and maintaining adequate staffing levels, attending IDG meetings, and ensuring the branch is adhering to budgetary constraints. My role has also required me to provide education and training to staff and assist with the orientation process for newly hired employees. This role has allowed me to utilize areas of mindfulness, social and emotional intelligence and to lead by caring. I strive to model the way for my employees and provide consistent follow up while being transparent with my staff. While working in my current position, I have demonstrated an exceptional work ethic and a commitment to providing quality work and quality care for patients. I have exhibited moral courage and am willing to stand up for my ethical beliefs. I have demonstrated strong organizational skills and evaluated my work to ensure accuracy, detail, and thoroughness. My current position has also allowed me to expand upon my care management skills.
