About Cheryl Laxton Bhe

Ms. Laxton graduated from the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Home Economics and has been working in the agriculture and food industry since 1999, specializing in audits and food safety programs. Cheryl is an experienced auditor and active member of the International Organic Inspectors Association. As an ISO lead auditor she has completed inspections in the areas of crop and livestock production, small scale and industrial food processing, organic input approvals, natural health products, animal welfare, fair trade, biosecurity and food safety. In addition to auditing, Cheryl has worked with small scale food processors and agricultural producers to develop GMP/GAP and HACCP programs including training specific to the operations. In her role as a director of Laxton Inc Risk Management Group, Cheryl’s team provided a multidisciplinary approach to project management and team leadership, needs analysis and strategic planning, administration and human resource leadership to a diverse clientele.
