CtoC is my privately owned company which handles hospitality and tourism management contracts in marketing, sales, and communications for upscale, small to mid-sized companies and destinations. In addition to the Marketing and Communications contracts, my work as a travel writer and on-air host has been branded as Getaway BC and Great Getaways With Cheryl. Effective 2019, my media work is under Wellness Travel BC.My recent clients include one of the leading health & wellness resorts in North America, Sparkling Hill Resort, located near Vernon in the gorgeous Okanagan region of British Columbia (five years), the 'coastal chic' Painted Boat Resort located on the lower Sunshine Coast of British Columbia (three years), and a recently rebranded, newly Indigenous owned and operated resort on the Sunshine Coast, The Lund Resort at Klah ah men (Eighteen months). In 1999, I created the first-ever, family travel recognition program for the province of British Columbia which ran to 2013 as Destination BC's official family travel indicator. "Kid-Friendly!" led to the part-time media opportunity with Citytv. A three-week feature unexpectedly became a weekly segment for eighteen months, leading to my successful tenure with Shaw Media (formerly CanWest Media) as the special features writer and television reporter for travel and lifestyles on-air with Global TVBC and in print with the Vancouver Sun, Province, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal and National Post newspapers, 52 weeks a year for five years. I have spent the last nine years as Executive Producer and on-air Host of Great Getaways with Cheryl on CKNW Radio 98, CISL 650 and online.Before moving to travel media, I was on contract with two of British Columbia's most iconic tourism providers, Grouse Mountain Resorts (five years), and Rogers Arena (home to the Vancouver Canucks Hockey Club) as Opening Manager, Hospitality Suites (two years).

52 weeks a year I produced full page, full colour features for the weekend editions of the Vancouver Sun and Vancouver Province as well as created, produced and delivered a weekly Getaway BC feature on Global BCTV's Morning News. A fabulous gig which sadly ended due to the economic conditions of 2009 including the sale of CanWest to Shaw Media.
