A driven and hardworking technical commissioning engineer who is a great team player. Trained and qualified in the commissioning of both mechanical and electrical engineering in the shipbuilding sector and has a good understanding of design and build processes, as well as manufacturing methods. I have been trained in safe systems of work including Rip Out procedures, Permit to Work, working at height and confined space working. I also hold a full Gold Safety Passport and IOSH - Managing Safely Qualification.I recently accepted and completed a new challenge working as a process engineer within BAE Systems. Here, I acquired a great deal of knowledge about the business, from commencement of the Type 26 contract, through to the would-be completion of commissioning. This was a new view on the business for me and has opened my eyes to the many opportunities that may be available to me in the future and the paths I could consider taking.I was then a regular commuter to Rosyth while working again as a commissioning engineer on the Queen Elizabeth Carrier, which has so far been a great experience and new challenge. Here I have had the opportunity to work alone on systems I have previously not encountered, allowing me to expand my knowledge, as well as my confidence in my own abilities. I am mainly focused on Power & Propulsion.Currently I am working as a Senior Commissioning Engineer in Glasgow on the new T26 contract
