As an experienced training leader and program coordinator, I have spent over 20 years of my career developing and facilitating training programs for both employees and adult learners. My experience spans across diverse industries, where I have developed a multi-faceted skill set in instructing, mentoring, and coaching individuals in a variety of environments. I have been recognized as a strong motivator with the ability to empower individuals to achieve success through the implementation of personalized professional development plans.Currently I work for Literacy Volunteers and Advocates, where I am experienced in adult learning methodologies and have extensive exposure working with adult learners and helping them excel both academically and professionally. I use an individualized approach to identify needs, develop performance benchmarks, and assess progress in order to help individuals reach their maximum potential. However, this extends beyond the individual, and I lend my expertise to training new staff and providing current staff consultations to create an environment that is consistent for an effective learner experience.Prior to working in the education, I spent over 15 years in hospitality management where I worked in fast-paced environments with diverse personalities and skill sets. This required me to use a management style that could adapt quickly to each individual while not losing focus on the organization’s bottom line and corporate mission.
