Cheryl brings extensive experience to NCSU in the areas of estate, gift and trust, tax planning and charitable planning, to help create a legacy for NCSU alums and friends while structuring tax advantaged charitable gifts and endowments. Over the years she has advised artists, entertainers, and professional athletes, and continues this focus through her work with all colleges and areas of the University. Specialty areas she enjoys include charitable planning for art and hard-to-value assets, as well as helping to realize bequests through the estate settlement process.She is responsible for Estate Settlement for all colleges and units across campus, as well as internal compliance for Stock Trades, Charitable Gift Annuities, Charitable Trusts, and has recently assumed duties for Gift Planning Marketing.She's a member of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners, the North Carolina Planned Giving Council, and the Wake County Estate Planning Council, and often appears as a guest speaker in the professional community or on campus at NC State.She moved to the Triangle area from Florida in 2010, and joined The Wolfpack after a lengthy career in public accounting. Prior to becoming a CPA, she worked in the film business in Los Angeles as a literary agent, wrote documentaries and screenplays, and worked as an assistant editor for Vogue and House & Garden Magazine in Los Angeles . When not at work, Cheryl enjoys spending time with family, and can often be found rock climbing. She supports the climbing community through membership in the Triangle Chapter of the American Alpine Club, the Carolina Climbers Coalition, and the Access Fund.
