Cheryl oversees the sophomore academy, which includes working with a team of teachers to provide a structured learning environment with sound instruction and interventions for over 300 students. Cheryl also assist in providing professional development surrounding the topics of formative assessments and Common core curriculum implementation.She is also in charge of OGT testing for all sophomores which includes individual and group interventions based on analysis of student data.Assigned duties include: progressbook administration overview, study island manager, assign case manager for students with disabilities and coordinates scheduling for students with an IEP, including resource room classes and support classes.She currently facilitates and coordinate department head meetings and AP meetings for staff since the lead Principal retired in December.

Mrs. Schell served as department chair during her tenure at FMS.. She also worked with the school nurse to obtain pre & post BMI for her students. Over 50 % of her assigned students lowered their BMI during their assigned semester of physical education.

Prior to entering education, Mrs. Schell worked on a med-surgery floor for five years along with working at a nursing home as a licensed practical nurse.
