I have had the unique opportunity to oversee construction and start-up of a new Surgical Center. In 2016 I played an integral role in the design of our replacement hospital, particularly in the peri-operative areas as well as the Cath Labs. As part of that construction, I worked with vendors, physicians and staff to procure equipment and needed supplies. As great as those experiences have been team building within my staff and inter-departmentally is something that is most important to me.

In 2016 we began construction of a replacement hospital. I played an integral role in design and layout of the new surgical services areas including OR's, Endoscopy, SPD, Outpatient Surgery as well as 2 Cath Labs. As part of this project, I worked with vendors, staff and surgeons to procure equipment and supplies. The replacement hospital has 10 OR's, 1 OB surgical suite, 1 procedure room, 2 endoscopy suites as well 2 Cath Lab suites. Additionally, we are currently under construction for a hybrid Operating Room and in the design process for another Surgery Center.

The Medical Pavillion included- GI physician offices, Vascular Center, Pain Center, OB/gyn physicians, orthopedic practice as well as Physical Therapy.

While I was working in operations for our physician practices I was asked if i would take an interim role as Administrator due to my experience and certification. I was then promoted to the permanent Administrator position. The Surgery Center has 2 Operating Rooms and 2 Procedure rooms. They perform about 5,000 procedures annually. The facility employs 35 fte's. Woodland successfully passed all ISDOH inspections as well as Joint Commission. -

Left due to distance and time difference from my home. -
