• Assist in the administration of policies and procedures relative to the collective bargaining agreements with respect to shipment of mariners, personnel issues, grievances and payroll questions.• Plan and assist in business unit meetings to ensure objectives are met including audits, crew and planning meetings, accounting discussions, etc. Manage the planning, scheduling and projection of future crew plans.• Support the Captain with monthly payroll administration averaging $300,000 monthly.• Facilitate payroll with 3rd party payroll vendor in addition to managing the funding for both the vendor and customer averaging $2 million monthly.• Prepare monthly union contributions averaging $1.3 million.• Arrange transportation for both joining and departing mariners while identifying qualified personnel for shipboard employment.• Solely responsible for the crewing of 15 new tankers with total employed 450 merchant mariners.• Complete verifications of employment• Participate in unemployment hearings; arbitration hearings related to mariner grievances• Knowledgeable with the interpretation and execution of four different unions agreements•

• Process licensed / unlicensed merchant mariners for assignment aboard CPS Tanker Fleet (both existing and new builds) Approximately 480 Merchant Mariners. • Arrange domestic flights, accommodations and rental car reservations daily• Administer Anti -Terror reports for each mariner slated for assignment on MSC vessel Communicate with licensed / unlicensed mariners employment opportunities with the company• Analyze and screen new applications for possible assignment based on training and experience• Continuous communication with individual Union Halls and mariners to ensure on time arrival to specific assignments and that proper documentation is accurate and readily available• Verification of payroll processing for mariners assigned to the 750 ATB Fleet• Organizing, managing, coordinating, and directing the operations and functions of merchant mariners. • Preparing, reviewing, interpreting, analyzing and approving a variety of data, information and reports, and making recommendations depending on findings. • Scheduling of annual and pre-employment physicals to include benzene• Review expense reports for accuracy and approval• Knowledgeable in the execution and understanding of Union contracts

• Consult with upper management regarding potential applicants• Consult with upper management regarding disciplinary actions of current employees• IAC Administration to ensure vendors are current with STA / TSA requirements• Arrange training for employees to remain in compliance with DOT / IAC regulations• Consult with upper management regarding compensation issues• Consult with upper management regarding total rewards packages• Knowledgeable of FMLA, FLSA, ADA and Worker’s Compensation issues• Consult with employees regarding issues and concerns as it relates to their work performance• Provide input for the development of a new company webpage• Provide suggestions on how the business can operate more profitably• Provide feedback on employee retention and ways to attract new talent• Responsible for annual renewal of health insurance and supplemental insurance• Arrange necessary training to ensure compliance for on-site machinery• Process new employees ensuring all forms are completed correctly and in compliance with State mandates• Provide disciplinary actions where necessary• Provide counseling of employees as it relates to absenteeism and tardiness• Prepare offer letters of employment• Process termination of employees with exit interviews• Process accounts receivable / payable invoices• Balance monthly bank statements• Process payroll for employees

• Process 144 licensed / unlicensed merchant mariners every 3-4 months for classified assignment aboard United States Navy ships• Arrange domestic and international flights, accommodations and rental car reservations daily• Oversee annual training budget of $450,000• Administer Anti Terror reports for each mariner slated for assignment on United States Naval ships• Communicate with licensed / unlicensed mariners employment opportunities with the company• Analyze and screen new applications for possible assignment based on training and experience; schedule any necessary training to meet contract requirements• Responsible for training for approximately 196 Merchant Mariners on a continuous basis to include arranging courses, transportation and accommodations; ensure that all training certificates are received and filled accordingly to meet contractual obligations• Arrange MSC ( Military Sealift Command) physicals and vaccinations• Continuous communication with individual Union Halls and mariners to ensure on time arrival to specific assignments and that proper documentation is accurate and readily available• Performing or supervising payroll processing, developing, and implementing procedures and applications
