I began my working career at Midland Transport in my early 20's on a on the job training program, this turned into a full time position that I held for three years. I started working in the credit union system, specifically at the Credit Union Central of New Brunswick, which has now amalgamated into the Atlantic Central. At the Credit Union Central I started on a one month term position which in a short time turned into a full time accounting clerk position. I received formal accounting training through night courses and various university business courses. From 1989 until 2002 I was promoted to positions with increasing degrees of responsibility; Accounting Clerk, Accounting Supervisor, Office Administrator and Accountant. In 2002 I was promoted to the Corporate Assistant to the CEO for the Credit Union Central and Risk Management Agency-sister organization to the Credit Union Central. I held this position until 2008, at which time a restructuring of the organization took place. In 2008 I accepted a position with Carter Brothers Line Construction, a telecommunication and power utilities provider as their office manager. In 2009 I found myself working with the Atlantic Ballet Theatre of Canada as their Finance and Administration officer. In 2010 I accepted a position with Co-op Atlantic as a Corporate Accounting clerk and was promoted to Financial Accountant in 2013 a position that I currently hold.During my working career I have, through day-to-day operations of the organizations I served, obtained diversified experience; Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Payroll, Management and Administration. I have a calm demeanor and a strong work ethic.Due to circumstances beyond my control my position with Co-op Atlantic will soon be coming to an end and I will be seeking new employment opportunities. I will be leaving a position that I truly enjoy and an organization I enjoy working for.
