Hello. I’m Cheryl Brown – Learning Facilitator and Horticultural Therapist.For 18 years I have worked as a consultant on international development projects helping people to access, share and use evidence and learning. I’m particularly good at supporting remote participation in learning and adaptive programming processes. I have considerable experience in designing and facilitating virtual, hybrid and face-to-face workshops and meetings that are sensitive to the barriers to knowledge-sharing and learning that may be experienced by participants. My background in development research communications, innovation and marketing, and my understanding of the information behaviour of development actors, helps me turn evaluation and research reports into plain English insights and practical suggestions for increasing impact. Although I work from home in West Sussex, I enjoy leading or being part of a project team and working with people who share my pro-environment values.Trained in Social and Therapeutic Horticulture, I am also a part-time Horticultural Therapist in a primary school where I use gardening and outdoor learning to support children with a range of special educational needs. My goal is to help teachers take as much learning outdoors as possible and love finding ways of linking gardening and the natural environment to the school curriculum.
