The tool also generates statistics based on user input boundaries such as agencies, chapters, or watersheds. It utilizes precipitation data from the modeled dataset PRISM, and NASA/JAX satellites TRMM and GPM. Past Projects: Navajo Nation Climate I - Spring 2015Position: Team LeadThis project focused on communication with hydrologists, water managers, and GIS technicians from the Navajo Nation Department of Water Resources to assess how NASA Earth Observation data could assist their monitoring of drought. It also focused on creating a plan for tool development (currently underway), and the collection/processing of necessary data. Great Basin Climate II - Fall 2014Position: Team MemberThis project partnered with land managers in the Great Basin Region to compare cheat grass growth after wildfires depending on the severity of the burn. It also created a model for extracting geospatial statistics from rasters given a user chosen zonal input in ArcGIS ModelBuilder.
