    After so many friends and family begged Ken to smoke food and/or cook for them... we finally decided to GO FOR IT and started up a company to serve his mouth-wateringly delicious creations with St. Louis! During that year we had the catering co., I created our market by calling on corporate America for group business meals as well as full service catered events. We offered pre-planned menus and customized menus to meet our customer's wants/needs and dietary preferences. We even served niche markets such as school banquets and pharmaceutical/medical reps who order meals for physician offices. I created promotional material and marketed our catering towards holidays (July 4th picnics) and industry cyclical times (such as accounting firms from January - April).Investors offered Ken the opportunity to open up a restaurant with them...He assisted in the total renovation/transformation of the restaurant and managed the process through opening and the first several months of "The Salted Pig". He enjoyed the journey while it lasted. Time for me to spend my days back with my other love - recruiting!
