Benefits:• Partner with leadership to ensure a comprehensive and competitive benefits package for the company for each renewal year. • Supervise the ongoing administration of benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, 401k, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, and wellness programs for over 160 employees. • Develop, implement, and maintain communication and education to enhance employee understanding and awareness of benefits programs.• Lead facilitator of open enrollment including information sessions and health fair to ensure participation and engagement. • Compliance management for Form 5500 and 401k audit.• Serve as primary contact for employee benefits questions, complex benefits inquiries and escalation of benefits issues.• Facilitate and oversee Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Paid Family Leave (PFL), and Leave of Absence (LOA)• Follow Workers’ Compensation procedures including timely collection of DWC-1 forms and filing claims. • Manage ongoing Workers’ Compensation claims including job accommodations and alternative job placement to ensure early return-to-work opportunities. • Weekly coordination with benefits broker to solve any complex employee situations as well as any billing issues with the carriers. • Manage day-to-day operation of the company benefits program including auditing and authorizing payments of over $250,000 per month to providers.Payroll:• Working knowledge of payroll processing platform and integration with HRIS.• Supervise payroll team in processing bi-monthly salary, hourly, and special payrolls.• HRIS/Payroll administration and record keeping including compensation, garnishments, taxes and other deductions/earnings.• Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, leave of absences, pay changes, and any other special circumstances relating to payroll. • Year-end reporting including W-2 and ACA reporting.

• Lead role with Workers’ Compensation claims, EDD Unemployment requests and status, State Disability Insurance claims, and leave of absence administration.• Perform ergonomic evaluations for employees for injury prevention or to ensure accommodations to existing condition.• Assist in the development and implementation of employee education and training programs including mandatory training to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.• Collaborate with managers to track and require completion of mandatory training for over 800 employees.• Provide support in responding to risk issues such as complaints, performance issues, investigations, and subpoenas. • Support HR team with health fair, benefits enrollment and administration, and special events.• Support HR and Legal teams with union negotiations and adhering to all requirements of the union agreement. • Attend professional development training to continue to grow and learn best practices for HR.
