Supporting three programs at Blue Origin by reviewing Change Notices, Engineering Change Requests, technical drawings and documentation in various tools including: PTC Windchill, Jira, DOORS and Jama. Used the different programs’ CM Plans and Blue Origin policies to determine compliance with process and review rigor. Arranged Configuration Control Boards (CCBs) and worked closely with Systems Engineering, Program Management and Chief Engineer to implement Configuration Management practices.

New contract award to include implementing CM and DM to an existing Army contract (ATIS) for infrastructure network connectivity to conduct Army training. Identified CIs, created CR forms, wrote CM plan, set up process for managing changes to baselines. Data management included creating a schedule and tracking over 80 Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRLs) and ensure timely delivery from the team to Army customer. Set up repository within SharePoint to manage internal documentation.

Short-term assignment working remotely to support Navy Enterprise personnel software applications. Performed Configuration Change Control and Configuration Verification and Audits using Serena Dimensions tool.

Set up CM system to support NOAA/NESDIS/OSGS Line office. Responsible for establishing CM processes for project and engineering design documentation and Configuration Items identified for the RFIMS (Radio Frequency Interference Monitoring System).

Performed CM and DM on multiple projects concerning underwater warfare systems. Worked with IBM Rational Change and SharePoint as CM and DM tracking tools.

As a permanent employee, continued with work performed as Apex temp-to-hire. Business travel, interaction with customer and program manager to ensure CM was applied to the program to meet the scope of work.

Established a CM program for the SIGAR (Special Inspector General Afghanistan Reconstruction) contract supporting both CONUS and OCONUS efforts. Documented CM processes in a CM Plan for the program.

Act as CM representative for NOAA's National Climatic Data Center (NCDC). NCDC is one of three Data Centers operating as part of the National Environmental Satellites and Data Information Systems (NESDIS) department within NOAA. Requested by Director's Office to act as CM Lead for the center and introduce/apply CM processes to a wide variety of science data products developed by the Center. Manage resources and lead effort to document configuration item (CI) information and record baseline data used to track and manage the product's life cycle using formal CM processes. Conduct training and briefs on CM processes, interact with multi-levels of management; attend Executive, Science, Stewardship and Advisory Councils at NCDC on CM issues. Assess and recommend a Product Life cycle Management (PLM) tool; Responsible for NCDC's CM Policy and CM Guidelines; work outside NCDC with NESDIS and the Chief Engineering office on CM issues; initiated a new CM group outside NCDC to interact with other CM Leads within NESDIS and across NOAA to discuss CM topics. At the request of NESDIS Headquarters, drafted a NESDIS-level CM Policy for Line Offices and Programs; used the NOAA CM Team for collaboration and assistance for this effort.

Support one of the major programs at NCDC to establish and support all areas of CM and Document Management for the Climate Data Records (CDR) Program. Work closely with the GST Program Manager and the gov customer. Provide guidance to projects within NCDC; use Lean Six Sigma experience to assist teams with processes that need streamlining. The successes proven at CDR Program were used to model widespread CM practices throughout the Center and was asked to act as CM Lead for the Center and work with personnel to introduce or improve CM processes on other selected projects and developed software and data products.

Work as oversight to the EPC (Engineering, Procure, Construct) subcontracting companies to ensure that CM best practices were applied. Conducted training to Engineering group on procedures and project docs. Integral part of the planning and laying down baselines to develop an infrastructure for eventual plant turnover to have solid CM program in place. Interface extensively with EPC contractors and developed process to perform CM assessments to ensure compliance with CM policy. Worked with Quality personnel to ensure documentation was adequate and in compliance with Quality standards.

Black Belt for GE Nuclear included working in the Engineering department and concentrated on process improvement using Lean/Six Sigma tools and methodologies to improve CM processes used for the new ESBWR (economically simplified boiler water reactor) nuclear reactor design. My task as Black Belt was to learn Lean/Six Sigma concepts, apply to existing processes to make more efficient; work with various groups to implement those concepts; teach the "Define" role of DMAIC (define, measure, analyze, improve, control) class. Part of my certification effort was to mentor 3 Green Belts with their projects; and to fulfill a 2-year project which was to improve CM across GE. Performed a survey to identify existing CM processes; formed a core CM team to introduce CM principles; briefed the General Manager of GE Nuclear on a new organizational structure for CM (reporting to Director's office) and was granted approval to proceed. The concepts and strategies proposed are still used at GE Nuclear today.

Standardized CM approach between Pt. Mugu and China Lake Naval base for the Range Data systems Division groups, totaling over 220 personnel and a variety of projects and programs. Established a CM foundation at both sites and wrote CM Plans; created identification schema for CI's, hired and trained CM analysts to implement CM at both sites; set up and ran the Configuration Control board (CCB), and created a central web-based CM library for documentation and snapshot reports. Worked extensively with Branch Chiefs to explain the concepts of CM and value added to the Program. Received special award for CM contributions to the Range Data Systems Division; also received Recognition letter from the Trident submarine customer for outstanding CM achievements. Assessed, procured and implemented an electronic library information system (ELIS) for the entire Range Data Systems Division (1100 personnel) to track documents, scanned images, video clips, photographs and scanned legacy images.

Established a CM Program for NAVAIR's Range Data Systems (RDS) Division at China Lake followed by the same program at our coastal site at Pt. Mugu Naval Base. Range Data Systems was responsible for managing consoles and data that tracked various air and weapon exercises at China Lake. The Pt. Mugu site was responsible for tracking underwater weapons exercises. Both sites consisted of software developers, testers, programmers, engineers and IT personnel to keep the data managed and consoles operating for exercises. Once an exercise was complete, the client would request a copy of their target scoring, weapons performance or other exercise goals and RDS would create a CD with a copy of executable code for the client. CM was required not only for the maintenance of the source code and tracking of any changes against the code, but the document management of configuration documentation including training manuals, standard operating procedures, plans, tests and agreements. I introduced the same electronic document management system I brought in to the F/A-18 program to the RDS program and it was adopted with minimal customization required. This new EDMS allowed users to retrieve any of the controlled documentation in read-only format, and allowed the CM dept to manage the revision control. Part of the CM setup was the establishment of a CCB to manage changes to controlled software and working closely with the Chief Engineer to set up software peer reviews and conduct quarterly open item status reviews. Established close working relationship with Washington DC government client to ensure that the newly established CM Program fulfilled their requirements for the underwater operations performed at Pt. Mugu. Recognized by this customer for outstanding performance.

Configuration Management Specialist and Lead for F/A-18 Technical Library. Transferred to Europe with SAIC as CM Specialist to support a task in Brussels, Belgium at the SHAPE (Supreme Headquaters Alliance Powers-Europe) and Heidelberg, Germany on a USAEUR contract.

Supported the Army's ICBM (Inter-Continental Ballistic Missile) technical support contract. Responsible for maintaining CM on 9 signature radars located on various islands within Kwajalein Atoll. Created the C&DM group with 18 personnel consisting of 5 areas: CM, Data Management, Drafting, Graphics, Technical Writing and the Technical library. Set up electronic tracking of contract deliverables; transitioned decades old drawing into softcopy; maintained technical reference library for Engineering; created change control process; established Configuration Control Board (CCB) and worked closely with Army customer to maintain excellent communication and support.

Started as CM Analyst but was promoted to Data Management Supervisor to oversee Technical, Data and Software Library and 8 librarians. Managed oversight of Contract Deliverables from CSR to the government customer, updating of Technical Manuals, participated in CCBs for both Hardware and Software, oversaw Software Library and managed Archive Library for Engineering Change Packages that had been closed out by the CM Group.

Part of a start-up operation at a 44-person facility that partnered with NASA to provide a laboratory clean room environment to enable experiments to be installed, and provided a facility for astronauts to train on various payloads (experiments) prior to a shuttle launch. Part of astronaut de-briefing post-mission which included astronauts suggestions on how to improve the SPACEHAB module configurations. Performed as both the CM analyst and Documentation Control Manager.Configuration Management Analyst- Analyzed, verified, recorded and tracked engineering data to resolve discrepancies between as-designed hardware and as-built installation on the SPACEHAB module prior to installation in the space shuttle. Oversaw and managed the engineering Documentation Control Center to ensure current and historical engineering documents were available for the engineers and technicians as they performed mods to the spacecraft module..Technical Editor/Writer-Performed technical editing/writing on pre-launch and launch procedures to comply with NASA standards; fine-tuned existing procedures to add clarity, conciseness and uniformity; worked on proposal efforts for new business for a commercial company called SPACEHAB.

Configuration Management Analyst-As a NASA contractor, performed change control and status accounting of software CM engineering change packages for the shuttle program, including participating in both hardware and software CM CCB and preparing change packages for approval for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) changes.
