I've had the pleasure of working for Shea Homes, one of the largest privately-held and most respected homebuilders and community developers in the country, for over 35 years. During that time, I've garnered extensive experience in all aspects of community development marketing and management including strategic planning and communications, brand positioning and campaign development, public and community relations, event planning, and project management and budgeting. Some of those community projects include Highlands Ranch, its award-winning gated community of BackCountry; the 2015 Community of the Year - Stepping Stone; and Shea's two newest award-winning planned communities – The Canyons in Castle Pines, recognized as the 2022 Community of the Year, and Solstice in Littleton, honored as the 2023 Community of the Year.Other responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of Shea's model home merchandising including sales environments, management/oversite of all model home design schedules and consultants. I was honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the SMC of the HBA of Metro Denver. And was recognized in 2016 by the National Association of Home Builders for achieving MIRM and CMP designations.   During my career with Shea Homes, I've successfully advanced through the corporate structure and now drive the company's efforts in community development marketing and management; project management; and community events/promotions. Additionally, I oversee all operations associated with managing our community information centers, as well as all aspects of model home merchandising. Examples of present/past achievements:Community Development Marketing & Management - As a member of Shea's community development team, I oversee development of the 'complete brand expression' for Shea's master-planned communities including visioning, positioning and theme elements, marketing messaging, strategies and tactics, informational center management, as well as visitor experience and follow-up programs.Advertising/Marketing Management - Oversee development, management and implementation of multi-million dollar marketing, advertising and communications programs for both Shea's divisional communities and home collections, as well as several builder-cooperative campaigns.Community Events/Promotions - As a key member of the event committee for the 2006 HBA Parade of Homes hosted at Shea's Reunion community, I collaborated closely with my Shea colleagues and committee members to ensure the success of this month-long promotion. Specifically, I oversaw vendor management, coordinated media coverage with local outlets, and developed event-focused promotional campaigns. Thanks to the tireless efforts of our team, this year's Parade of Homes drew an impressive increase in attendance which generated vital revenue that supported the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver’s growth and key initiatives, including advocacy for the industry and educational programs that support and improve it. I’m proud that we successfully showcased the best of the industry and set a high bar for the association’s future Parade of Homes events.
