I’m a podcaster who believes that sharing your story, becoming known for your unique thought leadership, and building a body of work is the foundation for creating your own version of a successful life, career, and business.I’ve quit graduate school twice - Law school in 2018 and my PhD in 2022. Both times, it felt like I went from being the Asian parent’s dream child to their biggest disappointment overnight. But since I started to build my body of work and thought leadership in 2019, I’ve forged a new path and created a sustainable business & career that not only makes me proud… But it also makes my parents proud. Sometimes, creating a life that you're proud of is NOT what others initially expect of you or want from you. My work today exists to empower solo entrepreneurs and creators to stand firm when pursuing what they truly believe in and always take full responsibility for their decisions and actions. My podcast is the Thought Leader Club (previously called Side Hustle Club). What makes this show unique from other business education podcasts is the focus on taking ownership of your learning and development, being open to the discomfort of being a beginning again, and committing to putting in the reps to build a body of work. It also highlights the experience of many Asian entrepreneurs and creators from all over the world, and how they navigate parental, cultural, and societal expectations while building thought leadership and pursuing an unconventional path.
