I am Chairman of Friendship Project, a small local Warwickshire charity for disadvantaged children, and Board trustee/NED for Warwickshire & Solihull Community & Voluntary Action, where I lead on Risk. Both roles give me an active opportunity to support the community utilising my managerial skills gained as a director and business owner over many years. Additionally I am a mentor for Young Women in Business since 2021 for Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce. Ambassador for East Chase Distillery. On a personal basis I am both a Barnardo’s Supported Living and a Homes for Ukraine host. Keen gardener, rugby and local cricket supporter, including baking and providing cricket club teas.Recently retired Chartered Insurance Practitioner with 30 years plus experience in Commercial/Corporate Risk Management & Insurance Broking. Specialist interest in both UK and International Technology/Telecommunications, and Life Science sectors. A founding equity owning Director of Halkett Associates, then acquired by Oval in 2004, where I continued to lead the client service team, before being promoted to Managing Director of the Coventry office in 2009. The business was acquired by Arthur J Gallagher in April 2014, and I supported smooth transition, and succession planning. Arthur J Gallagher are one of the world’s largest insurance brokerage and risk management services. I went onto become Chairman of the Coventry office in January 2015 until end of 2022.
