Team player who thrives on cultivating relationships and collaborating with area businesses, organizations and other stakeholders to make a difference in SouthWest Florida. Extensive experience with startup corporations, business ownership, project management, and leadership and management has provided experience leading teams to excellence. During my career, I have had the opportunity to work with top executives in information technology, the LED lighting and signage industries, and most recently the healthcare industry presenting information to a diverse group of people at all levels. Brainstorming and collaborating on the sold-out Deepak Chopra event at Barbara B. Mann was the impetus for further developing my mindfulness practice, leading to my Mindfulness Workplace Facilitator Certification. I am now able to offer Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) to employers who recognize the value of stress reduction in the workplace. I'm a creative leader with an entrepreneurial edge, who is always exploring what is new and innovative!I continue to develop and implement the strategic plan of offering The LIFT Project throughout South-West Florida. Consisting of ten fun, scientifically proven lessons on stress reduction, better nutrition, physical activity, the power of being outdoors, and being social, this program is for everyone. These lessons lead to feeling great and living a great life! I'm living proof that it works and am passionate about making sure others know about these easy changes that can make them feel so much better. Having previously worked with a team of physicians, clinicians and Healthy Life Center associates to develop Lee Health's Inaugural Wellness Retreat, we realized the need to provide hands-on, pertinent education to our community and have continued on this mission. I'm excited to continue to work with the community to collaborate on outreach, solutions, and connections that drive intelligent conversations about our community's needs and ways to fulfill them. Information gleaned ultimately develops awareness and drives projects forward for the benefit of our population. I'm inspired to be working within Healthy Lee to be a part of a total solution offering optimum health and well-being for every resident and visitor of Southwest Florida.
