I am a person of integrity with years of experience on the frontline in customer service. My leadership experience in both professional and volunteer settings has put me in good stead for understanding the importance of being part of a team, leading by example and also working autonomously. My computer skills are excellent and I pride myself myself on being a proactive thinker. I am competent in the use of Microsoft Office and a number of software programs. Having completely diversified my skill set since leaving my career with Qantas in January of 2021 I have embraced change. A friend said to me "the only constant in life is change "-very true and good for the soul. A traveller at heart I enjoy creating art with emotion and imagination which has led to photography becoming a passion. I have had photos and written articles published in Africa Geographic, International Traveller, Holidays With Kids and a variety of other publications.I embarked on a wine education journey in 2021 sitting for WSET2 IN 2022 which I passed with a merit and a thirst for knowledge. I have utilised this knowledge in the cellar door at Hahndorf Hill and Bird in Hand wineries in the Adelaide Hills.My Safari Company Cheryl Smith Safaris has been created out of demand to host bespoke safaris to Africa, a place I love for its wildlife, culture, diversity and stunning landscapes. Travelling to Africa is not just a holiday it's an immersion in an experience. My slogan "Wisdom Begins With Wonder" I came up with by the Ewaso Ng'iro River in Kenya whilst watching a herd of elephants go about their daily life.Reliability and punctuality are strong attributes of mine. I am a highly skilled safety professional, trained as a first responder in all categories of first aid including CPR and the use of a defibrillator. I am fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and have a current National Police Check ,Working With Children Approval and RSA.
