Staff Registered Nurse
Current• Administer blood and blood products, monitor patients for signs and symptoms of transfusion reaction• Eliminate impediments to patient care plan compliance• Facilitate shift report with oncoming staff• Ensure cross-team coordination (social work, respiratory therapy, physician, wound care)• Review metrics with patients and families to make them aware of progress• Act as project manager to create consultations between patient and ancillary staff• Monitor and report symptoms and changes in patient status• Collaborate with medical team on patient status• Perform ongoing assessments based on client's condition• Develop plan of care individualized for patient• Provide education to family regarding patient's condition• Provide treatment as ordered by physician• Analyze lab results and report abnormalities• Manage drips i.e Dobutamine, Amiodarone and Cardizem• In charge of care for up to six moderately ill patients
