Founder/DirectorSkin Care Center Of New Jersey Mar 1998 - Jan 2001Cheryl and her team were instrumental in planning, designing and initiating First NJ medical day spa/ skin care center for DR David Goldberg's dermatology group. Together with space planner and contractors they creatively designed an environment with an innovative and serene spa image which had fully equipped treatment rooms, consultation room, retail areas and a makeup room. They also created SCC collateral materials plus a 2 year marketing plan, implemented all advertising strategies, conducted effective focus groups, surveys, PR campaigns and networking programs while obtaining exposure for physicians in articles and journals. Press releases were written and distributed to increase public awareness. All areas of operation including staffing, hiring, training and supervising aestheticians and support staff were directed by Cheryl and her team. They also purchased all retail products, supplies and equipment as well as coordinating patient services and scheduling.

She set up businesses in spa salons and physician offices in New York and New Jersey as well as educating professionals and consumers in skin care, skin services, makeup and color analysis. She had many published articles regarding what she could see then as the emerging transition of spa to medical spa. During this period she conducted lectures at women’s community groups, country clubs and health fairs. She also developed product kits for TV appearances on QVC Cable Shopping at a time when it was a new and innovative approach to selling. Always a trend setter!

OwnerFace Fantasie Cosmetic & Wellness Spa Jan 1982 - Jan 1992Cheryl founded and operated an innovative complete skin spa offering facials, massage therapy, manicures, pedicures, makeovers, nutrition services, hair stations as well as an accessories boutique. She created and sold custom private-label products used for treatments and makeup applications that resulted in a successful and extensive, loyal customer base. Even back then Cheryl could see how important educational seminars would be within the industry as she spoke on behalf of her company at multiple corporate events. She organized staffing plans and directed the recruitment, selection assignment, training and development of 15 employees.
