Manufacturing centre of excellence Business change manager. Delivering and implementing change strategy for JLR

Responsible for developing the business training strategy for key business systems. Work stream lead for User reboot for business change programme. Responsible for deploying and delivering the training requirements, and all business communications ensuring that the employees are kept engaged and informed. As part of my role I developed and deployed a business cultural survey to understand how employees felt about training, systems, process, communications and change programmes within the business. From this I developed a baseline from which to measure change progress and a strategy to hit key target areas to improve the business in these areas.

As Project Manager in Manufacturing engineering, I am responsible for implementing the Solumina Manufacturing Execution software in Actuations. I successfully managed the implementation of the Authoring for manufacturing instructions element across 8 sites in 3 countries. It was the fastest implemented software project that the company has seen, developed and delivered in 6 months to coincide with the Go-live of SAP R1. The implementation including managing site readiness, resources, training and software testing, and the UTC passport process. The Solumina implementation in Actuations division is the first Solumina project to integrate with SAP for UTC.I managed the first Actuations division implementation of the Solumina Manufacturing Execution on a pilot production line. The line went successfully live on Mar 31st 2014. The implementation included managing the installation of networks and hardware, training the end users across multiple functions. Based on this lines success the pilot was extended to a line in our French Vernon site. All of the above has included developing and rolling out training. It included the creation of training manuals for both elements of Solumina and SAP interfaces in two languages, arranging training for over 150 employees across 8 sites and 3 languages. It included implementing a staged training roll out and training matrix for all required users. The training matrix included arranging training for other systems that interact with Solumina.I conducted extensive lessons learned on both the roll out and training to improve customer service and meet end user’s needs. This resulted in having implementation logs and guides for each line that will go live. This ensures system readiness on the production lines for Go Live

As Business Standardisation Manager I was responsible for developing and implementing the Goodrich product introduction gateway process. This involved multisite / global participation and agreeing a set standard of checklists that could be used throughout Actuations business units. I designed and developed the standard work breakdown structure to be used in the SAP R1, the goal was to create a WBS structure that worked to achieve the business reporting needs from Financial, to GPI to Earned values. Again Multisite and global participation was required. The outcome is being used in the current SAP system used in Actuations.I led the Sales and Operations planning changes in a number of sites. Ensuring modules across sites in various countries converted to the new sales and operations 4 weekly reporting.

As the High Lift Project Planner my Daily duties included the maintenance and reporting on the C:Series Schedule. The reporting included daily team and customer meetings. The reporting was varied from Monthly execution plans to developing traffic light reporting on the Microsoft project schedule. Updating the schedule included resource management and internal and external reportingI led risk and change management reviews. I was responsible for managing and reporting the status of all the current phase drawings and deliverables required.I negotiated with the customer all the deliverables that were required for Production definition with Bombardier.As part of the role it involved implementing the Goodrich lean product development system (GLPDS) on the High lift project with the aim to improve execution of projects from outset to customer service support . The implementation success led to me teaching a number of planning modules at the GLPDS training events

Project Manager for small projects circa £3m each. These projects included improved Suspension and a Final drives programme, both of which I bid and won initial production orders based on a design, development and production within 18months. I also managed intricate projects with specialist requirements these included a conversion of 4 armoured vehicles to Ambulances. Was actively involved in helping the site achieve exemplar 4 in SHE. I was a Charity Challenge Co-ordinator for the Telford site. As one of the co-ordinators I was responsible for writing all Charity Challenge site and team briefs, and press articles. I was mainly involved in raising funds and organising events which included sponsored track walks. I Co-ordinated 16 teams to compete in the BAE 3 peaks competition which raised a total £6,500 for our chosen charity.

As Project Control Manager I was responsible for the project performance, risk and contract management of General Dynamics (GDATP). I ensured that the Project and GDATP met the Customer expectations within budget and on schedule by using BAE lifecycle management techniques and US Government (USG), Department of Defence specified measurement methods (Earned Value). The main focus was to ensure both GDATP and USG’s hardware needs were established and achieved, both statistically and physically, with minimal risk to the Customer and BAE.I identified, wrote and implemented contractual changes needed under the DFCS prime and sub contract.My achievements on the M777E1 included the successful bid, baseline and award of two contracts, Block1a and Pre-Production.
