About Chesco Charles Mwepelwa

I was awarded Master of Business Administration in 2012 at University of Dar es salaam after successful completion of the two years program. I also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the Open University. I Am an experienced and strategic thinker and I've worked with various organizations in the past at senior managerial level. Currently, I am the General Manager of Smart Brands Ltd, FMCG distribution Company. I am excellent team player and very visionary. Prior to joining Smart Brands LTD, I worked as the Country Manager for Tanzanian for Wrigley's East Africa LTD where I worked from September 2007 to July 2013 before voluntarily resigning to join Smart Brands LTD. During this term in office as the Country Manager, I established the company brands in the Tanzanian market and managed to recruit distributors all over Tanzania even to the remotest parts of Tanzania. I also managed to build a team of sales staff that were not only motivated to their work but were also result oriented just like myself. Prior to working for Wrigley East Africa LTD I worked for Nufaika Distributors LTD as the National Retail Sales Manager (FMCG Division) a position which I was promoted to towards the end of my contract after working with the same company from 1998 to 2007 in various capacities in the Lake Victoria Regions (Mwanza, Shinyanga, Tabora, Kigoma, Rukwa, and Mara Region). I grew from one position to another because of my positive attitude and hardworking spirit. My unquenched passion and focus enabled to work with any kind of team since I aim at nothing less than success.
