Insight Data Science is a seven week postdoctoral training fellowship that bridges the gap between academia and a career in data science. The program enables scientists to learn the industry specific skills needed to work in the growing field of big data at leading companies.● Developed a web application - ProjectMatchr (www.projectmatchr.io) - that recommends unique data science project ideas to data scientists. Getting away from the usual sources of data science projects and practice (e.g., Kaggle, MOOCs), my database contains information on unique and rigorous projects completed by more than 800 fellows from two selective data science career accelerator programs. ● Scraped data from data science career accelerator program sites using Python's Beautiful Soup module, and used natural language processing (NLP) to clean and process unstructured text.● Deployed an application using Python, Flask, Bootstrap, SQLAlchemy, and Amazon Web Services
