Within the Air Launched Target Program, successfully created a high-altitude airborne launch control system (used within the C-17 cargo “drop” aircraft), and airborne safety systems used within the safety aircraft flying along with the target drop aircraft.

During my tenor, responsible for safe and successful conduct of the initial flight tests for the fully integrated GMD system in its operational configuration with a 100% success rate. Brought the GMD system on-line for the protection of the United States during North Korea’s original Long Range (ICBM class) missile testing. Successfully implemented significant change into the GMD Organization by segmenting the GMD components into their separate parts (Sensors, Fire Control, Interceptors) to enable all Ballistic Missile Defense systems to leverage GMD sensor capability, and allow GMD to receive information from non-GMD components, drastically enhancing the performance of both the GMD system and the other BMD systems. This was achieved with direct focus on the GMD leadership to rapidly make decisions on verifiable data by instituting a structured board process within the GMD Program. These “Six Sigma” ideals were instrumental in restructuring MDA into its current management structure and enhancing the performance of all MDA systems.
