My name is Chet Baker, and I am a senior at Maple Mountain High School. I am interning at Skill Struck remotely this semester, as a web development intern. I've always liked messing around on computers (video games mainly) and started taking coding classes at the Advanced Learning Center (ALC) in Salem a few years ago. While I have never been the best with computers in classes I have taken, I have found working through problems methodically and writing programs to be incredibly satisfying.I'm also on the Mapleton Youth City Council (MYCC), and have found serving my immediate community to be rewarding. I did student council sophomore year, and while it was fun, it was also a lot of work, so I dropped it junior year. I participate in cross country and distance track, which has been a great experience. I don't find running fun most of the time, but nothing feels better than pushing through on a particularly difficult run to me.I can't wait to see how my current internship goes and what the future holds for me!
