Member of Professor Sean Mooney's lab. I applied machine learning to health data to characterize patients with lower back pain and predict their clinical outcomes.

A member of the newly established Institute for Computational Health Sciences (ICHS) Team led by Professor Atul Butte. The goal of the lab is the creation and application of computation tools that convert more than 400 trillion points of molecular, clinical, and epidemiological data into diagnostics, therapeutics, and new insights into disease. My project focused on creating an automated program to perform meta-analysis on publicly available cytometry data.

A member of Professor Nadav Ahituv's Team, in which I assisted with dry and wet lab research that delved into the understanding of what makes humans different from chimps with respect to the neural system.

Tutored high school students in biology and pre-calculus

NGM Biopharmaceuticals focuses its research to discover and develop novel therapeutics that modulate beta-cell regeneration for the treatment of diabetes. I performed in vivo biology procedures, that include ELISA, IV Injections, Pancreas Dissections, and Serum Collection to assess the effectiveness of our novel therapeutics.

In Dr. E.C. Forsberg's lab, I collaborate with Senior Lab members on a project assessing the functionality of a developmentally-restricited hematopoietic stem cell population using transplantation analysis and lineage tracing mouse models. My other duties include: Maintenance of transgenic animals in vivarium, Genotyping, Flow Cytometry Analysis and Sorting, qPCR Analysis, Cell Culture, and Animal Handling: tail bleeds, retro-orbital intravenous injections, tissue dissection. I have also been involved in the training of new students in general lab techniques.
