Assistant Project Manager
CurrentThe Assistant to DFID Project Manager (Assistant DFID-PM) of DFID Mine Action Capacity Development Project is formally responsible to assist DFID Project Manager (DFID-PM) for all activities listed under the DFID contract in Cambodia including activities to be performed by Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD) and other experts contracted under the project as well as those that organized internally by DFID-PM. Assistant DFID-PM is also responsible to support Cambodia Mine Action Authority Database Unit (DBU) in reporting, procurement, and document recording to ensure that CMAA DBU understands the data and promote the use of the national database system within CMAA departments, government organizations and other key stakeholders.The Assistant DFID-PM is through the project activities supporting the DFID-PM in his effort to; (1) assist CMAA and Provincial Mine Action Planning Unit (MAPU) to improve their prioritization and planning methods and tools, thus releasing land more efficiently and effectively, (2) assist the CMAA to improve its ability to regulate the sector, in particular to enhance the quality assurance of demining organizations and the quality control of demining tasks, (3) enhance the CMAA's ability to prepare tenders, evaluate proposals, and prepare contracts, (4) enhance the CMAA's ability to analyze data, manage risk and prepare plans, including strategic planning, and (5) ensure that CMAA DBU understands the data and promote the use of the national database system within CMAA departments, government organizations and other key stakeholders.
