As a Managing Director in EY’s accounting advisory practice I lead and develop individuals and teams to strategically assist CFOs and CAOs to address their most complex situations. The strategic advisor role has required me to gain a complete understanding of each organization’s finance function, including people, processes, and technologies, and to creatively assess needs and areas for improvement. My roles at two large public companies offered me an opportunity to lead global teams and connect across finance functions, employing social depth and awareness in fostering cross-cultural relationships with leaders, peers and direct reports throughout the world. My oversight over key transformational events such as divestitures and significant process and accounting change projects, required me to lead through change, influencing decision making at the leadership level, collaborating with peers to align on process changes, clarifying goals and targets for the global Controllership network and demonstrating a personal diligence to follow-through and see projects to successful completion.
