In addition to leading the company’s technical accounting and global policy function, I collaborated with global business segment finance, corporate finance functions, corporate development, and shared services to lead projects related to assessment and implementation of unique transactions and performance improvement initiatives. As a part of this role, I worked closely with Corporate Strategy & Development to lead accounting and reporting aspects of divestiture transactions. Transaction support included oversight of advisors for development of carve-out financial statements, participation in the due diligence process, and leading efforts to stand-up and create finance functions for spin-off entities.My role required constant communication with global finance representatives and allowed a unique opportunity to lead projects and engage teams across functional and operational lines. In addition, the role required regular communication with C-Suite executives and communications with the audit committee of the Board of Directors.
