Being one of those people who wants to make a difference, I've spent most of my life seeking to fit in where I can be most useful. Having decided to take a big risk, I entered the teaching profession and left behind a successful business career. I have been very fortunate to have found a school in which I feel at home. Not only am I allowed to pass on my passion for Comparative Religion, Ethics and Philosophy to teenage minds, teaching KS3/4/5, I am also privileged to offer pupils support as a tutor. My past teaching experience includes KS3/4 English and PSHCE in addition to Religious Education. My previous roles as a school-wide Professional Development Coach (for colleagues seeking to improve their pedagogy) and as a ITT Co-ordinator also stand me in good stead. My past includes recruitment, outplacement consultancy, web marketing, retail management, events management, customer service, project management, and team management. I have experience of training, coaching, and teaching based on a commitment to serve my students and colleagues, helping them to achieve their goals in a positive manner. Long term I seek to develop my teaching and leadership skills, and am happy to do so from the trenches. Perhaps, in some future incarnation, I will once again be invited to lead a team.Someone once said I was a "completer-finisher", but they obviously only saw the good stuff. Apparently, I also make good tea.
