I worked as a Research Assistant at Wells Library on the Midwest Indigenous Cartography Project. Read some of my blog here, https://blogs.libraries.indiana.edu/author/clbrento/I also currently serve as the Native American Student Association programming chair, where I plan events and delegate to the IU Student Congress. I was Head of the Vendor subcommittee for the Annual Powwow at IU during the 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 academic years. In this role, I created a vendor application, approved and denied vendors, and placed them in spots at the Powwow. As part of the Powwow Committee, I helped choose the location and make a rain contingency plan (2022 powwow). As well as providing support and direction for volunteers during the event.I was a panelist on a series called Intersections: A Focus on Queer Student Leadership with the LGBTQ+ Cultural Center at IU in both the Fall and Spring semesters of 2021. During my freshman year(fall 2020-spring 2021) I also served as the Financial Chair for Spectrum, a thematic live-and-learn community on campus for LGBTQ+ students.
