I review and teach program outlines, science content, and operations with new hires at the museum. My role is to oversee their progress and coach them by producing notes, shadowing them, and devising strategies as they expand into their facilitator role. I share the new hires’ program progress with Coordinators/ Senior Coordinators and offer advice to better develop skills. As a certified trainer I illustrate strong interpersonal skills, quickly, adapt to diverse audiences, and strongly identify the needs of those I train to whoever necessary.

I teach STEM concepts, give tours, and host live science shows that require in-depth knowledge, improvisation, and management skills for large groups of varying demographics.

Federally recognized collections intake facility which houses 10,000 years of human history, and museum. Collection revitalization includes reading and locating site reports, checking inventory, creating new digital catalogs, and preparing material to be stored in perpetuity. The facility is held to both federal curation standards and state standards. Reports read and synthesized into excel spreadsheets, digital files, and library catalogs include: environmental impact reports, historical maps, monitoring reports, original catalogs, construction crew data, city reports, housing and facilitation fees, prehistory, local history, CRM, and more.

While maintaining a Kumeyaay ethnobotany garden I have curated outdoor exhibits of different ecosystems - riparian, chaparral, alpine, and desert - and created engaging signs and placards to teach people of the scientific properties and native knowledge about plants. During this time I heavily researched the significant roles of plants pertaining to people both spiritually and medicinally within regional cultures.
