I am a Counselor Supervisor Case Manager for a Boys Group home that provides a home to boys ages 13-17 years old who are on juvenile probation or who are in the foster care system. I manage a 6 bed facility located in San Jose. I absolutely love what I do and I am so passionate to help our residents achieve their goals and become accomplished young men.

The Swalwell For Congress Campaign has been a great experience so far. I am currently the Finance Assistant, where I am responsible for political fundraisers. donor research, community outreach as well as handling basic financial tasks. Within my position, I have also taken it upon myself to grow our volunteer and intern base to help those of the younger generations understand the importance behind social outreach.

As an activities coordinator, I helped with planning and executing activities throughout the beautiful 5 star resort of Enchantment and Mii Amo destination spa. Through this position, I was also able to get out into the community to learn more about the Native American cultures and how to incorporate these ancient beliefs into modern day activities. I was given an incredible amount of responsibility through this position and was also in charge of creating a Nature program that catered to the children and families who stay on property. Researching and field examination with a variety of professionals including naturalists, insurance specialists as well as several management teams were necessary in order for the conceiving the "High Mountain Desert Explorer's Program". This program has officially had its start date take off and has been having successful numbers of participants since.

2 Girls One Plant LLC is on a mission to establish San Francisco Bay Area’s first therapeutic greenhouse. This will be a space to act as a crisis, mental health, meditation and therapy center for our emotionally-disturbed, traumatized and struggling youth.

In my earlier years of attending Northern Arizona University, I was offered a position as an after school caregiver in a lower financial area where the predominant population of children where Native American or Chicano. I loved having the experience of working with a different diverse make-up of children that I hadn't necessarily had the opportunity of working with before. I was assigned to work with the fourth and fifth graders. On average, there were around 50 students daily in my group which was an interesting experience having that many children in my care. However, I was able to design a multi-station layout that allowed students a variety of appropriate choices ranching from homework help, brain teasing games, dodge-ball and other teamwork-using activities. On a daily basis caregivers were required to lead two team work activities, one hands-on activity and homework help. I was also a lead teacher that was able to effectively comminicate with parents, teachers and behavior specialists to critique and adjust behavior plans for individual students. I was promotoed to Detention Supervisor due to my "keen ability to understand, listen and relate to children at their level" (my promoting supervisor). With he position of Detention Supervisor, I was able to work one on one with children who were having behavioral outbursts, trouble with group activities or just needed another outlet for a "cool down". The comfortable environment that I was able to provide allowed student to express how they were feeling and what happened in their perspective. Worksheet and relaxation activities were provided to those sent to my room. After the detention room or more commonly known as the "cool down center", the after school program started to see an exponential improvement in behavior from children as well as an improvement in the classroom. I will be forever grateful for the lessons and opportunities that I gained through being a caregiver.

In 2013, the Eden Valley YMCA established a new location for a YMCA summer camp. Due to my extensive experience with planning, organization and knowledge of how to run an effective summer camp, I was asked to be the lead planner for all events, activities, crafts and games where I accepted my role as the Director of Summer Camp. Weeks before the anticipated start date I worked hard to plan out themes for each week and activities that would compliment the perspective theme. Daily duties including kid counts or attendance, nutrition tips, team building games and activities, hands-on crafts and special activities including gardening, recycle crafts and water days. I led morning and afternoon assemblies that informed counselors and participants of the daily events and tips to think about throughout the day. To provide fun entertainment, staff members were also required to lead skits and funny acts to help boost energy at the camp. Through my time at Eden Valley, I learned numerous skills that I will be forever grateful for. My first summer, a child told me about how she was being treated at home, which was on the grounds of child abuse. At the young age of 18 years old, in a strong leadership role, I made my first child abuse report and as the person of contact for the site had to be present for body photographs, parent communication and being a strong support system for the young girl. Luckily, it was a case where the girl was experiencing a post traumatic stress disorder "fit" and was experiencing disassociation through having an episode. This experience ignited a flame inside of me that wanted to be able to make an impact in the lives of our youth in a dysfunctional family situation. There were so many more lessons that have become valuable to my personal and professional lives that will forever have an impact on me.

As Director of Sisterhood, I was able to use a seasonal budget to be able to plan and put on events that helped bring the sisters of Aloha Phi more together. I loved this role because the amount of responsibility that was given to me was such an honor. Bringing sisters or members together to just have a great time, not only took a lot of hard work, but also an incredible amount of dedication. I had the fortunate opportunity to work with a variety of professionals in catering, independent vendors, event spaces and photography specialists to create a well rounded welcoming environment.
