Safety & Risk Management Specialist

Serves 14 Local Wisconsin Municipalities (Antigo, Baraboo, Cedarburg, Green Bay, Hartford, Jackson, Kimberly, Lodi, New Berlin, Reedsburg, Stevens Point, Waupun, Wausau, and the Wisconsin Dells).Performs risk management, loss control and safety related services at assigned member facilities. Responsibilities include: the development, review and modification of programs, policies and procedures for members; development and presentation of training programs; liaison to member safety committees; serves as an in-house consultant on safety and loss control matters.Plans, develops and delivers training programs. Provides onsite consulting and assessment services to members on liability, worker's compensation, risk management, safety, compliance practices and regulatory matters. Develops written materials including reports, letters, policies, procedures, and newsletter articles.Conducts research on regulatory standards, interpretations, and industry best practices.Conducts comprehensive inspections and assessments and provides detailed summary reports (facility inspections, ergonomic assessments, noise monitoring, worksite assessments, and playground inspections).Facilitates member meetings to identify issues, trends and offer information sharing (member best practices).Develops Distance Learning content and fosters methods of outreach to members including You Tube Videos and social media. Manages and assists with the development of data management systems such as Blueprint and Origami.Assists in facilitating membership-wide service offerings (i.e. MSDS online system). Creates specialized Dashboards and Reports in Origami; trains team members on Origami capabilities.Develops fleet safety policies, training programs and technical support.Develops and conducts ADA Title II training and supports ADA member initiatives through assessments and Transition Plan assistance.Investigates workplace incidents that occur within the membership.
